Temporary Changes to our Services

COVID-19 has changed the way SECADA is working. All our services are still available in accordance with hygiene, some protective equipment and social distancing advice by the Victorian Government. Restrictions continually change. As from April 2022, you can visit us for in-person counselling by requesting this from your counsellor.  Remember, we are always available by phone or video. If you would like to speak to us about yours or someone else’s use of alcohol and /or other substances, call 1800 14 25 36.

Our telephone line is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Please note that the last call of the day is taken at about 4:45pm. Calls after this time can still be taken but we may need to call you back the following working day.

If you suspect you may have coronavirus (COVID-19) call the dedicated hotline on 1800 675 398 – open 24 hours, 7 days or get a PCR or Rapid Antigen Test. If you are showing any symptoms please call the hotline and then your counsellor to arrange a new time.

You can also complete the AOD self completion form and email back to secada@windana.org.au. Outside these hours you should call DirectLine on 1800 888 236. They are available 24/7. Please be mindful that your information is protected under the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic) and that no information can be shared with any other individual or agency unless there are certain conditions. You should discuss these conditions with your counsellor or worker first. For more information you can also refer to section 13 of the Victorian Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006.

SURe (Substance Use Recovery)

SURe is focused on a holistic, recovery-oriented, family inclusive service for people with co-occuring substance use, mental health and other concerns. In addition to these services, they also provide information and access to other health related services in the region.

SURe in the south eastern region of Melbourne is a partnership between EACH Social & Community Health and Anglicare Victoria. Both the SURe Consortium and the SECADA Consortium provide all alcohol and other drugs programs for this region. For more information about SURe go to their website.
